Dust-Buster®is fighting the dust.
The introduction of dry-steam in the potato grading
houses is a great step forward in diminishing the
silica dust problem.

Research during recent years has proved the negative influence of potato-dust on the human lungs. Especially the silica particles smaller than 5 microns, which are causing the so called dust-lung illness. The newly developed Dust-Buster® is for sale in three models, with treatment capacities ranging from 4 to 45 ton of products per hour.



The base of the system is an electric steam generator designed in conformity with international safety standards, compact, taking up very little space and fully automatic.

In a pressure vessel, water is heated and compressed to a level of 5 bar. The steam travels through 22 mm insulated pipes to the places where the application is needed.

The best places are the hopper and the soil separator, directly before the inspection table and in the packing area. The extreme fine mist covers the dust particles, without making the products moist.

Only one litre of water is used on 1000 kg of products.
